About
Marina Pliatsikas is a photographer, writer, and videographer based in Sydney, Australia.
With a background in journalism and almost two decades of experience behind the camera, she’s drawn to real moments, layered stories, and capturing people and places with a quiet, documentary-style lens.
She’s contributed to publications such as Lodestars Anthology, walkers journal, Local Paddo Magazine, The Irish Times, as well as a range of book projects including broadsheet’s ‘travels’, angela Schaffer’s ‘Pearls’, and Lodestars anthology’s sydney guide.
Her work is often rooted in travel and connection, but extends to commercial storytelling, working with brands to create natural, story-led content that feels honest and engaging. Much of her work is shaped by a deep love of nature, and by extension, a fascination with the people, communities, and brands that encourage others to get outside too.
She also brings 13 years of experience in digital marketing, branding and content strategy, helping brands communicate with purpose across platforms.
She has a bachelor of Arts in Media and Communications from the University of Sydney.
